The University Parks team recently had the pleasure of hosting the Vice-Chancellor for a visit to the Parks, offering her a glimpse into the wide range of landscape work happening both within and beyond the Park. Joined by the Sports staff who look after sports pitches in the Parks, the Parks team enjoyed the VC’s hospitality in the form of coffee and doughnuts in the Cricket Pavilion.
The visit gave us an opportunity to showcase initiatives across the Parks, the functional estate and commercial projects, including major charity events and exciting upcoming projects. Professor Tracey was particularly interested in the Genetic Garden project and aspirations to replace the glasshouse.
It also gave the Parks and the Sports teams a chance to connect with the VC, to hear more about her vision for the University, and engage in a lively Q&A session.
