Miscanthus sinensis ‘Siberfeder’

An elegant grass which flowers from late September onwards, Miscanthus sinensis ‘Siberfeder’ commonly known as Chinese Silver Grass, grows up to  1.4 metres tall. Nestled along the Hayrick Border, Miscanthus contrasts well with a great range of plants for the whole summer before coming into its own in the autumn, producing silvery elegant flowers which are really beautiful nodding in the gentle breeze and autumn sunshine. As the autumn progresses the foliage turns brown but the plant retains an architectural quality well into the winter and can be particularly beautiful on a frosty winter morning.
