Plant of the week

Digitalis ferruginea, the Rusty Foxglove, is a short-lived perennial plant, which is native to Turkey, Hungary and Romania. To be found in the West Walk in University parks, its interesting flowers are a real talking point. It will look handsome in any border with good, free-draining soil in sun or dappled shade but does not appreciate conditions that are too dry.
