Metasequoia glyptostroboides

The Metasequoia glyptostroboides, commonly known as Dawn Redwoodis a large deciduous conifer that provides a stunning display in the autumn with splendid fine feathery leaves turning to brownish-pink and yellow. A large tree of up to 25m, which was thought to be extinct until 1941 when one was identified in a village in China, t has a strong conical shape and reddish brown bark that can be admired after leaf fall.
