The entrance into the University Parks opposite Keble College has re-opened after temporarily closing last week so contractors could re-surface the area around it.
The entranceway was formerly occupied by the Keble Gates, but these have been removed and will eventually be re-installed slightly closer to the Physics department’s new Beecroft building as part of the landscaping around it.
In the meantime, a temporary entrance has been created in the old gates’ location, and this is what was closed last week. At the same time as the cycle path, contractor Laing O’Rourke also resurfaced the new entrance area outside the Beecroft.
