Iris latifolia ‘King of the Blues’

Iris latifolia is a hardy, summer-flowering plant, which is originally from the French Pyrenees. This very attractive Iris has a deep blue flower, with a white beard and a flash of yellow in the middle of each petal. The flowers emerge on a spike above the foliage and its long steams grow to a height of 60cm. It is a bulbous perennial, with mid-green strap-like foliage that dies down during the winter.
